WHAT IS IT ABOUT
This five-day workshop aims to establish and connect scientists and institutes that are role players in the African BioGenome Project (AfricaBP) initiative, create awareness and galvanise institutions and researchers at the regional level to drive the vision and objectives of AfricaBP. Days 1-2 are seminar-style hybrid workshops focusing on current understanding on biodiversity genomics across Northern Africa. Days 3-5 are practical-based, handson in-person workshops focusing on sample collections, skateboarders and policy-related engagements, genome sequencing using several technology platforms but not limited to PacBio Hi-Fi, Omni-C, Illumina, and MGI-Tech.

Anyone interested in genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology and related fields.

WHERE
This hybrid workshop will be held at Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, Morocco, North Africa. Practical exercise to hold at this location from Day 3 - 5.

This Conference aims to explore the relevant innovative and sustainable business and organizational models in the Mediterranean pastoral systems, which could be beneficial for smallholder pastoralists. Researchers, practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders will share their experiences and realities from different parts of the Mediterranean, aiming to present how they tackle challenges and provide solutions to and with pastoral actors. The aim is to highlight the way that the Mediterranean can be considered as an integral region where pastoralists face similar challenges and – through an inclusive co-creation process – they can develop and deliver sustainable models to increase their sustainability
